first_img +1 [email protected] Public Art Award 2011 Deadline: 5 November 2010Open to: Sculptors of any age and nationality yet to be recognised as practitioners in public artAward: £10,000Committed to the pursuit of excellence in the art form, the Society aims  to inspire, inform and engage people of all ages and backgrounds with sculpture, to support the development of sculptors’ professional and creative practice and to promote good practice.  [email protected] is an award designed to offer Sculptors an opportunity to  extend their practice into competing for public art commissions. We are delighted to open the 2011 award which is made possible by the generous support of philanthropists.The jury will short list five sculptors whose applications meet the criteria, reflect the brief and indicate quality and potential through the work presented. Short listed sculptors will be invited to produce a full proposal, including drawings, maquette and supporting documents (e.g. an outline budget) for a fee of £500. .Deadline for the receipt of maquettes and proposals is 15 February 2011.The short listed maquettes and proposals will be exhibited in the RBS Studio Gallery from 2 February $ 23 March 2011.
